James D. Moore, Jr., DDS

Dr. James D. Moore, Jr., D.D.S.

Dr. Moore was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. His education includes attending Aurora College, Pensacola Junior College, University of Florida and Emory University School of Dentistry from which he graduated in 1970. He received his oral and maxillofacial training while in the U.S. Navy (fellowship at the Naval Dental Clinic, Pearl Harbor and residency at the Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego). He spent 24 years in the military (former enlisted U.S. Marine and retired U.S. Navy oral and maxillofacial surgeon).

Dr. Moore is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of the: American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society and the Savannah Dental Society (past President). He is on the staff of Saint Joseph's and Candler general hospitals.

He is a practicing Christian, a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Savannah and will be happy to pray with you before your surgery if you desire. Dr. Moore is an American Red Cross volunteer and a member of the American Legion.
